SpierHead Winery is located near the top of Spiers Road on the benchlands of south east Kelowna, one of the newest wine regions in the Okanagan. Our focus is on premium quality wine which we produce from grapes grown on our estate vineyard and from selected Okanagan Valley vineyards. The hand harvested grapes are sorted at the winery and fermented in small lots.

Ironically named, our Gentleman Farmer vineyard was planted in 2008. Doing most of the dirty work ourselves, there did not appear to be any gentlemen present as the vineyard was prepared and planted. We grow Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Riesling. In 2014 we planted an additional five acres, exclusively to Pinot Noir. We now grow four different Dijon clones of Pinot Noir. This enables our wine maker to select from the different characteristics exhibited by these clones in order to create a harmonious, complex Pinot Noir from our home vineyard.

Our bright yellow winery, which includes our tasting room, was completed in 2010. All of our wines are handcrafted and aged in this facility.

In addition to our insistence on maintaining excellence in our wines, we are committed to showcasing specific terroirs of the central Okanagan Valley. Particularly with our Pinot Noir bottlings, we have embarked on a program to produce site specific wines which display the unique attributes of selected Okanagan vineyards.
